How do you guys view properties loaded with redbrush? A few of the pieces I hunt seem to have the most sign in the redbrush. How do you guys scout these properties and more importantly how do you hunt them?

Re: Redbrush
Deer seem to love the red brush in my area. Especially in the rut. One of the most productive Buck beds on my property is located in an area of thick red brush. I hunt the edges during bow season. During gun I sneak right in the middle early in the morning and wait.

Re: Redbrush
I don't try to hunt it but if it is there I know the deer are eating it.

Re: Redbrush
Redbrush is typically always loaded with sign....and deer...
They can bed in it...and they can move in the daytime and feel relatively safe...
When I hunt it I try to hunt the edge of it...and its usually rut hunts trying to catch cruisers running the edge checking for hot does...
The stuff here grows 8ft or so high...and thick..we get it in various habitats too...creek bottoms get choked with it...but we also get it along fields in some areas...that can be hot..field edge/brush/red brush/timber...but at the same time they can be in the redbrush and forget about the oaks and head right into the beans or corn...when its corn it seems like the cruising is on the brush/corn transition which makes it real tough...
