Makes you feel a little silly for gutting them in the field huh? My only question is how did that doe die? Heart attack? I didn't see a drop of blood from a wound anywhere.

That was weird...and it was quick, but...

No wound, deer was very freshly killed, he was semi wastefull, I don't think butchers wash meat with water, and stabbing a bacteria filled knife into the best cut of meat???
A buck will see you three times, and hear you twice, but he's only gonna smell you once.

That was incredible. I wonder if that was a pen raised deer. The hide came off as if the deer had only been dead for less than 5 minutes

I think I may be slower

Impressive. My father in-law guts them hanging too. He swears by it. I wouldn't be sticking a dirty knife into the hams.

I wonder how many hundred deer that guy has done to get that fast! The advantage of a sharp knife too.

I will agree i did not like the knife sticking into the hind quarter.

A guy in the Youtube comments noted that he'd made the starting cuts around the legs before starting the video. That probably took a good 10-20 seconds for him. It might have had an air compressor loosen the skin, too. Regardless, the guy is pretty dang skilled at what he's doing.

I wonder where his ex-wife is?

I'm sure this was just for speed and not for cleanliness...

That was pretty neat. The skin came off very easy. The compressed air trick is a good possibility.

Speechless...that's impressive. I have always wanted to try the gutting when hanging method.

I like to leave the guts in the field. Less mess to take care of at home.
You can fool some of the bucks, all of the time, and fool all of the bucks, some of the time, however you certainly can't fool all of the bucks, all of the time.
