Your review of double bull blinds

Unread postby hunter10 » Fri Dec 05, 2014 3:14 pm

I am in the market for a double bull blind. The reviews of the current available double wide version make me uneasy about dropping that kind of cash but I believe the reviews that are poor are mainly because of in proper setup.. What do you guys think of them? I hunted out of a matrix 360 this last spring and it was unreal

I have a T5 ProStaffer and a Matrix 360. 360 is the best hands down.

Ive used a promos escape? And now a darkhorse. I was skeptical due to the same negative reviews and the fact that they are not made of the canvas as they used to be. But I have been very happy with it for 2 years. Way better than the primos. I did have to adjust the tension straps a bit out of the box. I have had zero problem with setup setting up as recommended.

Have owned a Matrix 360 for 8 years maybe 9 can't member when I got it. Been a work horse. Never had any problems with it.
You can fool some of the bucks, all of the time, and fool all of the bucks, some of the time, however you certainly can't fool all of the bucks, all of the time.

I have two Dark Horses.....one of the originals with lightweight rods and a newer one with normal rods. The older one is great, but the newer blind has issues with the roof staying up. Primos sent me some "extensions" for the rods but it did nothing. That is the one I leave in the woods for deer season now.....I just rope it up between a couple trees. Overall, great blinds.......probably be a long time til I need to buy another.

I have had the double bull dark horse for a few years and it holds up well the only problem I've had is we got a bunch of wet heavy snow one year and it pushed the top down. It didn't hurt the blind at all just had to get the snow off then pop it back up... My only complaint is it's kind of a pain to get into but even that isn't a huge deal

I have a 360 and a double wide. Love the 360...double wide is big! Both are really good blinds. Planning on some elevated platforms with them on em next year to have good places set for my kiddos.

Two thumbs down. I have a darkhorse, and it wasn't worth the money....
A buck will see you three times, and hear you twice, but he's only gonna smell you once.

I think they are the best hands down. You have to practice setting up the larger blind or they are a pain and you will break the rods. The T2 is super easy to set up and hide but is kinda small. With my 30in draw its tight but works. Also shooting through the mesh at an angle out of the T2 is a no no. It has a large flat window so you have to remember to shoot straight through it not at an angle. The dark horse etc, are more rounded so it typically is not an issue but they are harder to set up and weigh more.

Please check out the Rhino. Xp1. Much better craftsmanship and better materials. The owner answers the phone and inspects each blind before they go out. He will handle all questions and warranty work. Not trying to hijack your thread but at least check them out $200, and supierior blind in my eyes.

The old ones are awesome, then Primos got them and ran them down into the dirt like most other things they aqcuire. I have a pre primos darkhorse and I love it, my only complain is its heavy but thats because its built to last. I want an original T2 now with lightweight rods for run and gun turkey hunting, so IF anyone has one they no longer want, be sure to let me know!
