2nd target buck
I was done hunting but still had my cams out just for fun and had a buck that was there all summer and after he shed his velvet off, he was a ten with some kickers. Im good friends with my cousin who i hunt with all the time during the gun seasons but never hunted together during bow season. He had some good bucks on cam but wanted them to all live another year and i was talking to him one day and told him to come hunt this buck. I sent him a few pics of the deer and he loved him thought he was a cool deer so he came up and sat in the stand i had hung. First night saw the buck had him 35 yards but no shot. I went the next day and moved the stand to a better spot to get this buck. 2nd night the buck did just what we wanted came down the fence line jumped the ditch, he drew when the buck jumped the ditch, 30 yards arrow flies the buck ducked his arrow big time no clue how they are that fast. all he got was hair on the arrow he was so mad said he was leaving his bow in the stand to rust lol. I might add that this kid can shoot a bow with the best of them he is a huge practice freak so when he misses its a big freak out session for a little while. We decided to leave the buck alone for a week or so to calm down and try it agan.Of course during that time i am giving him a hard time texting him pics of the buck saying remember when you missed this buck? Week and a half goes by and he texts me he was going to go sit there, I said thats fine but if you miss again i get to punch you in the face, he said thats fine if i kill him i get to punch you in the face lol. I was on a train at work i get stopped at a place turn my phone on and had a text to call him this was right at dark so i knew something happened so i call him he answers quietly, isay whats up buddy, he whispers guess what? (me) what, He yells IGET TO PUNCH YOU IN THE FACE I GOT HIM! sorry the story was so late it happened halloween weekend. It was pretty awsome. I had got a the buck i wanted witch ended in him getting one of my deer i had watched for couple years and he liked the deer. Made the story even sweeter he had missed once but in the end got him. Sorry for the bad typing and miss spelling for my eye is swelled shut lol. Good luck

Awesome buck! Did he shoot it once and need a follow up shot? It appears there are two arrows in the pictures. Either way that would be the deer of a lifetime for this guy. Great character.

Re: 2nd target buck
Cool. Great buck by the way.
You can fool some of the bucks, all of the time, and fool all of the bucks, some of the time, however you certainly can't fool all of the bucks, all of the time.
