Age?
Curious to get an age on this deer from you guys. Can't tell if he is older and never developed a rack? or he is a younger deer with just a big body waiting for his rack to grow into it...

Re: Age?
That last picture is what throws me for a loop. It's that belly and brisket sag that made me think that he was older as well...

Re: Age?
3.5 they really pile on the weight this time of the year, making it hard to judge age.

Re: Age?
houlders and hips same size--big. Last pic, belly and brisket sag, giving the shorter leg look. Neck going into shoulder with little if any definition, I'm going out on a limb here but I think he is 5-6 yrs old.
If you or someone you know takes him, let us know as we are all learning here. That info could help us with judging age from pics.

3 1/2 Starting to develop the tell tale body characteristics, but the snout is what gives it away to me.

Re: Age?
I'm gonna go with 3 1/2, maybe 4 1/2. He is starting to sag but his body is still kind of short. I think that last pic is the best to judge from but looks a bit deceiving.

Re: Age?
Body says 4.5 min.
Keep in mind that not all mature deer dawn a 160" rack.
Genetics, not just food, play a big role...
Why do you suppose I'm 5' 5" tall and not 6'?
Yes - genetics OR I put the growth in other, less conspicuous areas.
