PA hunters

Unread postby marker1jj » Tue Nov 18, 2014 4:24 am

In central PA there is a break between the end of bow season and the gun opener. Was curious to hear what other guys in this situation plan to do for the next 15 days. Do you scout or stay out of the woods in most of your areas? I plan to do some low impact scouting and spend time with the wife.

I live in 2B so we still have doe season open and I have a NR ohio tag still but I think I'm just going to give it a break and finish my last CPA test, spend some time with the family and get caught up on work.

I was going to do some scouting while carrying my bow. Archery bear is in now through Fri and while there is a chance of taggin one, the reality is it's slim to none without the use of bait (illegal). The next best thing to putting in some legwork is looking at topo and aerial images. But that only pushes the desire to get out there imo. I really hope these next few weeks go by quickly and the buck i was really hunting survives another firearms season. I'm determined to find his main bedding area this winter and setup on him next fall.
I just kill mtn bucks
