Good luck to all and try to stay warm. Looks like we might have some tracking snow in the a.m.

Weather was great but the deer numbers are way down in my area. Truly disappointed and already spearheading Southern Indiana for November bowhunt

I had a good morning saw 6 doe's and I could hear a couple walking around that I never saw. It was a beautiful morning, here's some pic's I took:

I think it's a good spot because it seems like that is where a lot of deer go when people start going into the cedar swamps that boarder this area.

I even had what I can only assume was a patrol from the Yooperland Navy:

Went out today saw three bucks cross a swamp one was a shooter other two with it weren't bad but not what I'm after. Took a walk around to check some sign seen a spike and about 300 yds later caught glimpse of another deer which was a 6 pt about 100 yds off snuck up on him and whole I was watching him something caught my eye behind him and it was a giant bedded. Got to 102 yards of him but it's just a bit too far for my shotgun. Had to watch him walk away. Horrible feeling. This deer was 160 class all day main frame 10 pt with splits on both brows and mass and wide. He was the total package. Long beams and long tines with a bit of trash. Second encounter with him in same area. Close but no cigar

Hope everyone had a good start. I was scrambling to get out of here on Friday and didn't check in. I had a pretty good day, I'm heading to the Kill Zone in a bit to share my day.

Good luck to all the rest of season. Shoot what makes you happy

Took my son out for opening morning. We saw (3) 1.5yr old bucks and probably 5 does. Good morning, but he didn't get any shots. I shot a small buck that was out of range for him. Thinking about it, that was only the third buck I've shot with a gun in 30yrs of hunting.

I had a great weekend. . Tons of chasing. . Lots of activity. Almost took a doe tonight but thought she was a small buck n wanted to make sure. . She came right to bout 15 yrds n stopped behind a tree .. when I shifted to line up she heard me n spooked.. also seen another shooter buck tonight but he spooked out to. Not sure why. I was watchin a spike chase a doe all over when the big boy came out of the marsh.. he didn't chase but blew n blew n blew then moved up n out.. might have winded me cause wind was swirling everyway possible.
