Help with a new area

Unread postby parkersdad » Sat Nov 15, 2014 1:38 am

I am going to scout this little section this weekend. I can only hunt the sections in light green. Is there anything that stands out to you that I should check the most?

With a West wind I would likely end up at the red dot.

To question how did you come to that conclusion and how do you get that red dot on the map?

I get to it from the East, or the West... I picked that spot cause cruising bucks on a West wind will be cruising the top 1/3 of that ridge in the thermal tunnel. Its the top of a draw, so the trails are going to funnel together, and there are bedding points both south and north of that spot giving bucks a reason to go back and forth.

Most of the time we have a north wind. North is toward the top of the picture
