Yes that wolfskin material is nice. I'm kind of looking for some quieter cold weather gear too. It's just expensive.

rainproof is not something that cold weather outerwear needs to be, windproof for sure.

The Cabelas Wooltimate line is very warm when you layer properly with merino wool base. That is what in would look at if you were on a budget.

If you are willing to spend, Grey Wolf Woolens, or another company who may be better then GWW but doesn't receive any spotlight is King of The Mountain wool products.
