On two areas I hunt the terrain is dry and vegetation is like CRP. Picture 4-8 ft tall weeds, bushes and saplings. Thick and great for bedding anywhere.
My observations show bucks bedding upwind of the doe bedding locations. It would make sense since it would add another layer of protection to his bed. The prevailing wind is the main indicator that made me consider this as a chosen decision by the deer.
Is this an observation that seems reasonable or have other people seen a similar situation?
