Bad hit on doe - but swhacker did it's part

Unread postby Scout22 » Fri Nov 14, 2014 5:43 am

My first year shooting swhacker 125gr. heads

So I messed up the shot on this doe or she jumped the string... either way, very happy with the swhacker on this one.

Deer went 616 feet confirmed by gps and had a good blood trail considering impact point.
One lung was hit then diaphragm and gut.
No more than 5-7 yards without blood once it started

Any broadhead making that hit should be a recovery...

True, probably giving her overnight was a bigger factor than the braodhead... I was just impressed with the blood trail for such a high entrance and exit.

I've had horror flick like blood trails and others that were just drops out of the same make of broad head. I think their are a lot of variables that go into the blood trail u get.

Congrats on the recovery!
