Midday has been great to me over the years. Morning being a close second. Evening not so much.

So has the rut just started up there or been going for a few days?

Also, is it about a 2 -3 week time frame for the rut?

I think a lot depends on the set up. If you are hunting field edges I think morning hunting may be the best. If you are in the thick, 10:00 AM till dark is better. This has been my observation over the years.
You can fool some of the bucks, all of the time, and fool all of the bucks, some of the time, however you certainly can't fool all of the bucks, all of the time.

When things are peaking I have always seen my best bucks from 9 am-1pm

Seems like the bucks wait till the does are bedded and them go out searching. Very rarely see any bucks from opening to 9 am unless somebody kicks them up.
