i stumbled upon a group of beds today that were 15 yds off the edge of a beanfield and on the edge of a 15' deep creek. i found hair in each of the three beds.....2 were smaller in size and just matted leaves but one was significantly bigger and looked more like a big depression that looks almost like a big SCRAPE. found a little rub 10 steps away and another on the opposite side of creek.
today was a south wind blowing from the fields into the beds.....and the big bed was facing SOUTH to the field with the big creek to its back. the other 2 beds were facing N and NW
im sure that i kicked the deer out of their beds today
my question is what does a heavily looking used bed tell you more experienced beast hunters?

That's a pretty loaded question... usually if it has been used so much it has a dent in the ground it tells me the deer have been using it for years. The prevailing wind, sight lines or cover types may lend themselves to this repeated use of the bed you found. If it is in fact a buck bedding area there is likely more than one buck using it.
