Ok so rut is here and I would say most of u will hunt funnels or doe beds ect. But my question is when bucks go back the bed to feed pattern will they go back to there primary beds or new ones close to a food source and will they make new rubs at that place or is that a pre rut thing only, I have seen new rubs in late season before and just thought is was a fluke thing. I woul like to here some different ideas on this.

I find them bedding near a late season food source. Bucks will make rubs until they shed, but nowhere near as aggressively as they are now.

We usually have snow by then and I spend my time tracking. I sometimes find buck in unusual bedding spots that time of the year.

With the food sources more limited and the vegetation gone...glassing is a good tactic late season.
Deer are easy to pattern in late season.
