Southern Michigan marsh, bucks always enter from down wind if they are able to? Does this rule out morning hunts if it's not a moon morning? I have mornings and beds to burn...any morning tips?

This is a different observation than what Dan has always described - bucks will enter their beds with the wind at their back so they know their not being followed by danger into their most secure area. You're saying you observe most bucks enter their beds with the wind in their face?

I think the best way to hunt them is to hunt right over the bed coming in from a direction you know the buck won't travel or circle.

I entered from down wind and found some fresh tracks heading toward the bed across the river. In the marsh you guys see a lot a bucks enter the bed without the wind in their favor? Or situation/terrain dictates?

I believe most do enter the bed with wind to the face... I have on occasion seen them enter wind to back, and at one time thought that was normal... But the more I observe, the more I watch J-hook to the down wind side and come in....
