Successful Youth Season 2014 - Sort Of

Unread postby jake71 » Mon Oct 20, 2014 12:46 pm

This is my 1st post, so testing out my ability to follow instructions in posting pictures....

My 11 year old son killed a doe near the top of the ridge on some public ground...

But I got excited and in a hurry field dressing it....

Wound up with 5 stitches in my thumb. Fortunately I had a friend with me and I wasn't far from the truck, but that's usually not the case. I have never thought of carrying a cut-resistant glove for field dressing but I might be adding one to my kit now.

Falling from your stand isn't the only way to get hurt out there. Be careful with those knives!

:D

nice job....and on public
Happiness is 10% what happens to us and 90% how we react to it, so with that happiness is a choice one can consciously make, although often challenged by what happens to us, it is a choice nonetheless.
