Extra Buck Tag. How does it work?
So I have my leftover CWD buck tag from last year which is good for this year. I was reading the regulations to see what it is good for this year and I just want to be clear on a few things with it.
Can we group hunt with these tags?
Do I have to use my regular buck tag first if I shoot a doe in a CWD zone?
Can we earn tags this year anymore for this year?

You can use that to kill an extra buck in the southern farmland zone. So for you you could kill 2 bucks with your bow and one with the gun where you live. Or 2 with gun and one with bow.

You can shoot a buck with that sticker, but you have to put the sticker on a doe tag. You can earn one tag this year. So, if you have one tag from last year, earn one this year, and have your regular tag, you can shoot three... You have to buy extra doe tags. They are no longer free.

Yeah adrenalin... we checked with DNR, you can use ALL last years stickers, plus the one you earn this year. So TC could technically kill 4 bucks this year if he earned another sticker by shooting another doe this year.

Please shoot the extra bucks on the east side of the state, not the west......

If I earn another sticker this year, will it be good for next year?

For next year they have no idea what they are going to do yet. My opinion is there won't be any more stickers for extra bucks. I think it will be one buck per weapon and $ for extra doe tags.JMO

Man I wish I had that problem! Minnesota is one buck period, but then again that might be a good thing!

Agreed. I've already scouted a couple out of state spots for next year. Many more cyberwise.

So basically back to the way it was before outside the CWD Zone.

Yeah,
My guess is next year we are back to 1 buck bow and 1 buck rifle statewide

Re: Extra Buck Tag. How does it work?
I hope it goes back to 1 with a bow, 1 with a gun (I'd love one buck a year, regardless of weapon, but that's a selfish desire.. haha).... I'm not a huge fan of these extra buck tags at all. I'm starting to see/hear of younger deer being shot becuase people can just earn another tag and wait for something bigger. I don't want to see WI turn in to MI.

I feel sorry for the adjacent states!
Honestly though. I'll miss it. It was nice while it lasted. I liked the incentive to kill more antlerless. On a good note, it should help a lot of 2 make it to 3+.
