So I picked up 1100 acres of good property.
Has some good terrain in it. The issue is when you get into the terrain, it has a lot of bolder. Will this effect the deer any in relation to bedding? The bolder are any where from a 5 gallon bucket to a semi size. Some times they are very close together some time scattered. Thoughts?
Thanks,
Boswell

Re: Beast Hunting in Bolder Country
Yes. A lot of my local land is on the edge of the glacier. Many of these areas are loaded with rocks ranging from pumpkin to truck sized. These rocks significantly funnel travel. Sometimes, they avoid the rocky areas altogether in a densely packed "field". In these, cases there is often a good trail on both sides of the "field". Other times they have a very specific travel through the area (ideal). Many Ag fields have long stone fences with few corridors that allow access to the fields which makes it easier to determine the direction of travel from the bedding area.
