Has anyone here hit up small pot hole bedding areas surrounded by large tracts of hard woods? I know of a few of these small 4 or 5 acre holes. They usually are just very low swampy spots with typical clumps of high ground where deer can bed... im gonna hit one up tonight. . Its deep n secluded n ive put bucks down in yrs past comin off the back side of em.. hopefully I get some action.

Best of luck, I remember a thread talking about those bedding areas quite extensively, I'll see if I can dig it up!
This is the thread but the example maps I thought matched your situation seem to have been deleted...

There one on a property I hunted last yr. found some sign of bedding, but it's surrounded by mature wide open woods. No way to get close.

Re: Pot hole bedding.
These are very common bedding ares in bigwoods settings, I seem to find mostly does in them so I most hunt them or between them during the rut. Bucks use them too but its kind of like islands where you have to scout a lot of them to find the perfect one they like.
