mass measurement question
I figure its easier to just ask you guys, rather than try to find it online..
Do you get 4 mass measurements per side on an 8 pointer, and if so, where do you take the last measurement? Is it half way between the 3rd point and end of the beam?

Re: mass measurement question
Just checked a score sheet and I may be wrong.
H-4. Circumference at Smallest Place Between Third and Fourth Points or halfway between Third Point and Beam Tip if Fourth Point is missing.

Correct. Yes you get 4 mass measurements, last one is halfway between G3 and beam tip.

Glad I was wrong on this and learned something new today. Have a 8 pt here that just went from 120's to low 130's now.

Re: mass measurement question
If it's a 5x5 or 6x6 you still only get 4 mass measurements...

Re: mass measurement question
4 min/max per side no matter how many points.
You can fool some of the bucks, all of the time, and fool all of the bucks, some of the time, however you certainly can't fool all of the bucks, all of the time.

This is correct. On an 8 point you measure from the center of where the G3 meets the main beam to the end of the beam and mark the center point. This is where you get your 4th circumference measurement.
