The prettiest part of Wisconsin

Unread postby Thermals » Mon Sep 22, 2014 3:06 pm

There was a post awhile back about the prettiest part of Wisconsin and I can not think of the name of the town to save my life.

I think you are referring to Ed's contemplation to move to WI. If I remember correctly universal consensus was SW WI (LaCrosse area). If you are looking to convince your wife or girlfriend to move to that area, these next couple of weeks will be prime as we enter peak fall colors.

Lot of leaf lookers travel to those parts to just look at leaves in the fall. I have done the same.
You can fool some of the bucks, all of the time, and fool all of the bucks, some of the time, however you certainly can't fool all of the bucks, all of the time.

I was up in northern WI last weekend and leaves are peak in color right now north of Hwy. 8, especially between Ashland and Drummond WI. ...

I was out at Wyalusing State Park scouting for ducks last weekend and the colors were just barely starting there. For opening weekend in WI I hunt central/west central WI (Clark County) and they were just starting there as well. It is a pretty part of the state for sure!
