This will be my second ever beast style set up, first of this season. I plan to just go stand on the back and set up on this spot.
I used to hunt this spot "pre beast" and I have a map of where my stand used to sit and what I used to see. An aerial and what I suspect and how I will approach it.
I am a newbie hunter so don't laugh if my plan sounds dumb, just looking for constructive criticism
Forecast today is High of 87 degrees, WSW winds at 10-12mph, and a cold front and chance of storms moving in around sundown...
On the topo below, I plan to enter the woods in the far southeast corner which is were a bean field meets the creek and the woods, you cant see the beanfield in the picture. I will walk the creek bottom looking for a trail or fresh tracks that possibly lead to that suspected bedding area. If I see something that makes me think they are walking the creek through the woods I will set up as close as I can to that bedding area. This is shown with the yellow trails and the purple bedding area.
If I feel like they are most likely still walking the edge of the CRP and woods where I have seen walk before (the orange and white lines on the second pic) I plan to walk the edge of the CRP up until I hit that finger that jets out by where the buck was bedded one time and find a place to set up so my wind would be just south of where I think they are bedded.
Stand on the back setup this afternoon.

unfortunately that hunt never happened, T-storms moved in the area, I will be waiting for another W or SW wind to give it a shot.
