One advantage to living in the northeast is that we don't have too many venomous creepy crawlies. Thank God!

Around here, black widows are common. Had one fall out from under my truck handle not long ago, then one yesterday fell out of an electric fence handle. That's one reason I hate bow season here. It's still hot and walking into the woods in the morning or out at night, there's spiders EVERYWHERE in the trees....some small and some big orangish looking ones similar to a garden spider. Spiders or snakes not freak me out but I don't like things crawling on me. So when I bow hunt the early season I carry a forked stick out in front of me to knock down webs.

I thought I had a good milkweed patch before, I have found THE MOTHERLOAD at my new house, im talking thousands and thousands of pods. I find more of it in the high country than the low land.

Oh my goodness, I think I wet my pants on that one. Has to be the funniest video I have seen in awhile.

that my friends is horrible vicious black and yellow orb weaver... i'm arachnophobic, which in my line of work can be an issue.

i once jumped out of a canoe into the WI river when i discovered a water spider under my seat.

I noticed on my leg a brown orb weaver while inside a dump truck , i immediately pulled over onto the shoulder (more like jerked it over) , leaped out of the truck, i forgot engage the parking brakes and the truck ended up in the ditch, it almost tipped over with a skid steer on the trailer, it had to be towed out. the truck might have still been in gear

I accidentally grabbed another brown orb weaver going up a fire escape, i mistook it for a moth.... i jumped off the ladder about a story and a half up

i have a ton of stories similar but those about the worst
Happiness is 10% what happens to us and 90% how we react to it, so with that happiness is a choice one can consciously make, although often challenged by what happens to us, it is a choice nonetheless.
