If you have surgery you are looking at 8-10 months. I have a coworker who blew his ACL playing basketbal last year. He wears a knee brace, but also is not climbing trees! Good luck.

Could also wait until post season to have surgery, after the initial swelling and pain subsides, doing less active activities acl deficient isn't a big deal, like hunting. I hiked the rockies for a week without an acl. Unless there is other damage to the knee, I was lucky and never tore any other tendons or legiments.

Definitely picked the wrong set trail to kill a doe. 14 does and fawns. Only marginal shots at 35. Pass one nice two year old 8 point in the teens under my tree. Cell phone pic didn't turn out.

That sucks... Can you hobble, limp, or crawl out there?
I remember having a big buck patterned back in the early 90's and I cut my finger off at work. I thought I was done hunting so I put my buddy on the buck. He shot it 1st night and within a couple days later I could pull my bow back.
