Thoughts on hunting this

Hopefully the pic posts. I have a 6 acre piece I got access too. I checked it out late last year. It is SUPER thick...practically impentrable in most places with waist high honeysuckle and other vines, weeds, etc. It is surrounded on the Northeast and Southwest sides by agriculture fields and other wooded areas not so thick that I do not have access to. I believe those areas get a pretty high amount of pressure, especially in gun season, Nov 10 through 25th approximately. I did find trails through the property but it is so thick that finding a mature buck bed would be very hard to do but I have to thick this is where the big ones would be bedding in relation to the agriculture, especially wants the pressure is on. I do plant to scout it more this coming post season but was wondering where you guys might go as a first thought. I thought about just putting in a ground blind near the best trails I can find and the area where I could get a shot off in various directions....which there aren't many.

Any thoughts?

Its really hard to see anything zoomed back that far, but, with it only being 6 acres I would hunt the down wind side where the trails come out and try and watch and see if you see one moving out in a different spot.

Just looking , I would take a look at where the 6 acres connect to the larger section of woods . That's got to be a high traffic area connecting the two sections .

Thanks. Will try to get a better pic but it's all basically the same. Very thick, viny with some trees but nothing tall.

I would hunt the northern inside corner where your small section joins the bigger section on a wind coming out of the south.

With a property that small your best success will come from observation stands along the outside watching and waiting. Make a move when you see a good buck.

On a lot so small wouldn't an observation stand burn the spot out?

I didn't think of that but yeah an observation stand from a nice distance just to see what's going on . From a few hundred yds away it probably would not affect the area at all .

Pretty much any direction except the ag field on the westerly side.

A carefully placed observation stand is the best way in my experience to hunt parcels this small, going in blind and aggressive without knowing where a buck or does are bedding will blow everything off the property.

My thought was it's so small any observation stand hung would be right in the action. Now, if you could hang out on one of the roofs with a good pair of binocs that would be perfect.

Thanks all. I probably could just sit in my truck but the lady who lives next to the property has a couple sons and I'd hate to tip them off or something. My understanding they do not hunt but seeing a big buck could make somebody want to!

The observation stand is the plan!
