Hill Country bedding question

Unread postby Beartown18 » Sat Sep 06, 2014 10:13 am

Hello all, my question is do bucks bedding in hill country also want pretty open terrain down wind from where they are bedding so they can watch along with thermal checking? Or have you seen a buck bed in supper thick cover on a ridge where their sight was limited to say 10 yards all the way around them? I am talking mainly about ridges that have been clear cut.

I have seen good bucks bed in both. From my observations they like it thick above them and semi open below.
