Re: The Ultimate Venison Tour Starts in Three Weeks
Congrats on the killin... The buck your buddy got will probably gross close to 200, but I think it will fall shy... Net, I think its in the 180's, but I have been wrong before.

Re: The Ultimate Venison Tour Starts in Three Weeks
Your buddy got a great buck for sure. I would guess 200 would be possible. Great buck no matter the score.
You can fool some of the bucks, all of the time, and fool all of the bucks, some of the time, however you certainly can't fool all of the bucks, all of the time.

Good stuff spy, your buddies buck is a stud for sure. he will be a touch over 200 im guessing. Alot of mass and kickers that will most likely be just as much inches as he has in tines will put him over i think but pics can throw me off pretty easy. congrats. 204 is my guess

Re: The Ultimate Venison Tour Starts in Three Weeks
The venison tour is still in full swing. We got about 10" of fresh snow last night. I had to be back for family dinner at 2pm....
So I just had to do some tracking. First tracks led me to 7 does and fawns, and a spike buck. Scoped them all up, nothing I wanted in the group.
Left those deer, and finally cut a buck track. I knew it was a buck cause it rubbed a tree. Followed that one to a road, and posted where he went, so I left that track.
I had to start getting back for dinner. But then I got into some good tracks. I just had to follow some. Then I jumped a buck, and just saw a flash, but I knew it was a buck. I looked at my watch, dang, I'm running out of time. I just couldn't leave a good buck track. So I decided I could go until 12 oclock. I
I was relentless and finally caught up to him about 11:55. I was late to dinner, but only 1/2 hr....
Here's my NY buck.

A buck will see you three times, and hear you twice, but he's only gonna smell you once.
