It's already becoming a season of contradictions. There are quite a few things out of my control which will affect my season. I really don't know how much time I will get. I guess I have to make the most of whatever comes. I am hopeful in the fact that I did more spring scouting than ever. The opportunities I get should be quality. I'm really just hoping to break a long dry streak and put down a buck. It's gonna be a weird year

If it aint broke dont fix it. It will be business as usual for me. That means i will continue to do the things that work and continue to try a few new things to keep it fresh and fun.

just enjoy what time I have in the woods or marsh. keeping it simple and fun. I predict late nights with a crying baby and lots of diaper changes with less hunting this year, and I am ok with that.

Ditto.

I scout a ton each spring in hopes of being more efficient. But with my work and small kiddos, I am a weekend warrior during the season for the foreseeable future.

"PATIENCE" is my theme for this year. With work and school time for hunting is limited. My girlfriend finally got a bow this year and my main priority is to get her on a deer. For me i need to take the time that i have for myself and put it towards the best chances that i have to kill a mature deer. Which means that i will be hunting my limited amount of spots on the best days. So pretty much i will be hunting smarter and not harder this year.

Little old school, some beast style, & trying some public land this year.

Most of you have said things I will try this year.

I am going beast style. Limit my intrusion on my private spots by hunting/learning public land near me. There will be mistakes and there will be a lot of frustrating days but I hope that ends in success.

Planning on hitting up my usual public land spots as I didn't really get any scouting time in this spring. Also have a private land spot I think I have a good handle on now, so I may spend a little more time there in October this year. Really going to watch how much pressure I put on my spots this year and try to hunt them at the right times, not just whenever I can go.

This made me laugh. I've had my share of "whammies" in the past. I'm with you, no whammies!

Been thinking about this one for a while and can't really put a theme on the season. So much is new that it will just have to unfold and see what happens. A lot of things already mentioned come to mind.
