Smartphone Holder for Bow?
I am thinking of getting a bow mount that will hold my phone so I can take basic video of my hunts, specifically the shot. I like the idea of possibly seeing shot placement on an animal or at least how they react at the hit.
Anyone use one? What do you recommend? I am not looking at getting into filming whatsoever so the simplier the better. Homemade ideas would work too.
Thanks

Have heard good things about the jackknife

I know you can find them cheaper online besides Dicks. My buddys like them pretty good.
They are 34 shipped on ebay

Re: Smartphone Holder for Bow?
would be great for someone to post a filmed segment with one....just think youd lose too much with distance or low light

I agree, but for the simple purpose of filming an approaching deer and the kill shot, I think a smartphone mount would be cool to have as well. I have thought about getting one.

I have been looking around for the same thing. I have decided I am going to buy a bowfinger 3.0.

It's not the knowing that's difficult, but the doing.

I have the S4 gear jackknife and it works great. I just got it in the spring so haven't actually hunted with it but I have target shot and never had a single issue. Worth the money IMHO

Re: Smartphone Holder for Bow?
The question I would have if trying to use a smart phone for filming is, how do you start the filming with gloves on? May sound like a strange question but my phone has to have your finger to active icons and such. Any type of glove and it will not work and since I always where gloves.....
How do you folks pull it off?

A lot of the new phones are coming out with a glove mode. I know that my new phone has it.

Touch your gloved fingertip to your tongue to dampen it and it works fine. I always thought that only heat from your bare finger is what registers but apparently not.

Very interesting, I would have never thought of that. Thanks.
