adrenaline rush

Unread postby welded34 » Sun Aug 03, 2014 2:55 am

Why do we get such an adrenaline rush from these animals? I don't get an adrenaline rush from a doe or a small buck as much anymore but when it's a big buck I'm shaking like a leaf lol

Because its what your after,so when its in your sights you get excited that your doing something right to close this distance.I still get "the fever" even on small deer and does.If I don't get that feeling its time to pack it up.Now turkeys....they are totally different,I can come unglued after a shot on a turkey!!! On a turkey i killed a few years back(didn't get a great shot) I went right after him after the shot and he was still pretty lively. He got up and ran, fell, ran, fell, ran, fell for a few hundred yards with my dumb but chasing after him without my gun because I set it down at my set!!!LOL I would have given big money to have a video of that day.He finally slowed down enough so I could get a foot on him.As soon as he was dead I fell on the ground laughing and exhausted at the same time!!LOL

As soon as I decide to kill an animal I get that rush. When I shoot a doe or turkey or squirrel I'm all jacked up on adrenaline. Its just like stock car racing, you don't get nervous until your up front, than you make mistakes.

We spend all year day dreaming an sleepless nights. Obsession about camo, scent, boots, gear, arrows, releases, broadheads. stands, weather, walk in, wind direction, time to hunt, evening, mornings, full moon, new moon, before rain or after, trail cameras an etc, you get the picture. Practice, practice, practice. We havn't even talked about scouting or hunting.

And it is a couple months away in it awesome.
I'm reason they call it hunting and not shooting.
