GPS kit app

Unread postby cbigbear » Thu Jun 05, 2014 12:23 am

After the discussion we had on bh15's going blind post about GPS kit, I did some digging. You can't overlay topo, but you can create a custom topo map. Under the select maps tab, select map name & put in the following link by the URL tab.

It's telling you invalid when you put it in GPS Kit in the URL box or when you try to click on the link highlight in my post?

Looks like the end of the first line and the stuff on the second line isn't highlighted.

For some reason everything didn't paste. Here is what you need to type in the url box without the ' at the beginning & end. 'http://services.arcgisonline.com/ArcGIS/rest/services/USA_Topo_Maps/MapServer/tile/#Z#/#Y#/#X#'

Question for those who use the gps kit app:

How accurate is it? I have gps kit and haven't back tracked to any stands yet to test accuracy...just hoping I dont have any issues finding my trees. Couldn't really find anything by googling either unfortunately. Anyone have any issues with this?
