This will be my first year hunting WI as a non-resident. I had still planned on doing most of my hunting and shooting most of my deer in WI. I don't know. If I'm not guaranteed to even draw a bonus doe tag that $165 dollar tag looks less and less appealing. It really sucks because I've been doing 90% of my scouting in WI and have found a ton of public spots that are overrun with does.
The reason does are being limited is to build a better herd... If your quest is to kill a big buck, don't let the doe killing distract you. $165 is cheap next to your gas and everything you spend... If its about meat hunting stick to Minnesota. But $165 is cheap for a non-res buck tag anywhere.
That's a good point. Compared to IA or IL it's a pretty reasonable price.
