I bought a 4400mAh extended battery and backcover from Anker for my Galaxy S3 on Amazon for like $30. Id imagine they have similar extended battery options for iPhones as well. They make external batteries too that are pretty small and streamlined.

Great video. I use the Trimble outdoors app and it's limitation is being unable to lay topo over arial, unless someone uses it on here and knows how. Great job

Great video.

I have started hunting much the same way over the last three years with great success. Like you said in the video I have not put any booners on the ground, but I seem to keep putting myself in the right place to kill. I've really had to rely on this style of hunting since we had our first kid. My on the ground scouting and hunting time has taken a hit, but I'm still able to scout from home. After watching Dan's videos its much easier to pick a spot out on a map and go in with confidence. I have not tried the going in during the grey light period before so I'm excited to give that a try.

The other thing I like to do is use google earth and look back at the historical pictures of the area. If your lucky there will be some in black and white or from the winter months. This really helps pick out those areas that are thick with pines or other transition lines.

Keep up the good work.

Awesome video and great information! Thanks for sharing with all of us. I don't get a lot of time to scout in the off season so this should definitely help step my game up. Now I just have to get a GPS :D

This video makes me realize just how poorly I am using my gps, when there is so much more potential.

Bowhunter15, did you have to put in an extra memory card into your gps to save those aerial photos to it? I might just go pick one up just in case.
