These pix also have the moon phase listed at the top of the picture, but I don't know if it is accurate.

There is a buck i have been after for a while and i have his pattern figured out pretty well. I was at first not going to hunt him the first morning but then i would saturday night. Other people are going to be hunting this peice of land opening morning. So should i wait for the right moon or should i hunt him saturday morning if i get the right wind because he will not be very pressured right away???

If others are going to put the pressure on right away, I'd go after him since you probably know the buck better and get as close as you can without blowing the set. If he were left un-pressured, I'd wait...

Thought I would give this one a bump. An old friend and I were talking hunting and exchanged a few game cam pics for fun. He had a pic of a nice mature 5.5+ year old buck. I checked the time stamp and wouldn't you know it, Sept 16th at 8:12am the big guy was on his feet. This moon stuff is really peaking my interest, with two little ones at home my time is the woods is limited so it really makes sense to try and hunt durign the best moon days.

I hunted Oct 1 and 2. Oct 1 killed a fawn at ~7pm, Oct 2 morning killed a fawn a little after 9 am (chart predicted), and evening 7:20pm killed an 11pt buck.

Monday the 11th saw two does out feeding at 4:20pm which I think corresponded with the moon phase. 4th day after a new moon.

10-2-10

Saw 11 does at 545 pm and shot one of them. A 2.5 y/o 7 pter came out around 6 and proceeded to chase does like it was the rut till dark.

OMG was the moon bright last night! Didn't see a thing. Disappointing sit b/c it was my first at a good public land spot. Perfect wind everything was in place but the full moon. Do you guys see less daylight movement during full moon periods?

Well just for fun I went back in time and checked the moon phase when I shot two of my biggest bucks. Wouldn't you know it, both of them were within 15 minutes of the moon being overhead or underfoot.
