Post Workshop Feedback Here

I'd love to hear about the workshop from guys who have attended. Did anyone get any video? Pics?

A buck will see you three times, and hear you twice, but he's only gonna smell you once.

The whole scouting portion got recorded -- it's going to be edited and said it will be posted in a couple weeks. One kind of funny thing that happened looking at a classic 'overlooked spot' is there was a bedded deer that let all 10-11 of us walk right by it. Then we stopped and talked for a while. It held that whole time until on the way back Northlake pointed it out -- then it jumped. This was right by the parking lot...

Northlake called me back over and everybody was standing about 10 or 15 feet from the deer and then it finally busted.
ALL the fresh sign was in an over looked spot right next to the parking lot.

I have been to two of the scouting workshops, they are absolutely worth it. I'll be honest the second was better than the first though, and that's nothing against Dan or how he does the workshops, its just I went to the first about 6 months after finding this site, and a lot of what was said went way over my head, and I didn't understand the why's etc. I have since been a member for 2.5 years and the workshop really sunk in a lot more and really really opened my eyes. Its a lot of information to take in and process, and I think you will benefit more from it if you have seen the discussions around here for awhile vs someone new to the entire concept.

I'm looking forward to the video too. Who was running the camera?
It's not the knowing that's difficult, but the doing.

My buddy Double Lung, he just joined before going to the workshop, was running the camera. It was nice meeting and talking with some dedicated hunters, workshop was a lot of fun. If you haven't been to one, I'd highly recommend it!

It's definitely worth it. Really awesome to see everything in person. Lots of good questions and it's a great supplement to the video.
