Ok say you found some bedding spots and say there are a few within a close distance and you go in for a hunt and you get there and find out he is not there and your pretty sure you did not bump him, do you hunt hoping he might so or back or and time permtting try another spot.

You could try to back out and hunt another spot, but your not going to be able to cover your scent. I would hunting the spot since I already "burned it" by entering the area.

That first sit is really the highest percentage since the buck does not know you are waiting and your scent is not known...these clean sits keep me pumped up and really conditions have to be perfect...for me to consider hunting it again in the near future....I am new to this so as always hoping to see what the veterans post.....I would stay and hunt it that first time

Really hard to tell if the buck is there or not... Some of my best bucks came out of beds that had little sign around them. You go in to hunt it, then hunt it. Nothing comes out, move on to the next spot.

Many times bucks are bedded just to the peripheral of where you might expect them to be or where the bed is that you know of…

But if you are 100% sure he is not home, I would move on...
