Don't know if this has been posted here yet... Anyways there is a name you may recognize in the "Buck Bedding Areas" section of the article.

Thanks for posting that. Very comprehensive article and gets me excited to get out there.

Also I ask this question, does it seem like more and more hunting articles are getting focused on finding and hunting bedding areas lately or am I just noticing it more, ever since joining this website? Anyone else notice this? Is this a trend or was it always a talked about tactic, sitting right under my nose. I ask this because when I was in high school I used to read all the hunting magazines every day and hunted a ton too, but never really drifted towards the strategy of focusing on finding bedding areas. I realize who the author of the article is also and he is a member here and it makes sense why he hunts the strategies he does.

I just think if I would have had articles like this one "back in my day" of obsessing about hunting magazines I would have developed a more common sense approach to my hunting strategies instead of wandering around looking for big buck rubs. But then again maybe the strategies were talked about and I instead chose to focus on team realtree grunting and rattling em in from miles away  .

Thanks for posting the link.
You can fool some of the bucks, all of the time, and fool all of the bucks, some of the time, however you certainly can't fool all of the bucks, all of the time.

I agree, when I was a novice hunter (not that long ago) and up until the last year or two I was always told to stay out of bedding areas and never go in there for any reason. It wasn't until the past year or two that I started seeing this new trend, and frankly I think its because people are slowly realizing that traditional methods portrayed on TV and in most print simply don't work for most of us.

I think that might be the most informative article I've ever read from that magazine, it is my absolute least favorite because it almost mirrored what was on TV to a t. Maybe they are turning over a new leaf. Either way that was a great article.
