There has been much talk of rain washing a way scent. I was wondering what opinions were out there for cold weather and scent, especially with heavy snow down.
I could have put this in the predator forum, but thought it might get more input here.
The situation I am curious about is, we started a bait pile for coyotes about a week ago and placed a camera over it. We have been in there to check the camera and the bait to see if/when it gets hit. I am worried that we are scenting it up too much checking camera and bait.
Any opinions on cold and drifting snow, or flurries covering scent would be appreciated.

Re: Cold Weather and Scent
Extreme cold definitely reduces the scent/scent profile. You see this most when hunting with a dog during cold weather. I've personally seen it hunting rabbits and yotes.
