Dan,
After watching the Marsh DVD i got pumped and decided to hunt this public marsh/swamp next season for the first time in years. Will start scouting it in February. Would like some help identifying bedding areas to check out. Everything inside the black line is public and can be hunted. Two previous kills are the red dots in the lower left side of the public. Will be hunting with a buddy so I can be dropped off to access where there is no parking. Also attached topo.
Thanks

Re: Marsh/Swamp Help
I circled where I would look. I look for the trees that r actually out in the marsh. The bucks need to have something to lay on and the big trees usually have some ground under em. When you see the little clusters that are spaced away from the main woods its usually a good place to look. They like points too. Once again I don't claim to be a Beast slaying master but I did sleep at a Holiday inn last night. GOOD LUCK !!!!!

Re: Marsh/Swamp Help
Thanks Dan
Both the bucks I shot there were in the morning, one in the back was rut time but the one up front was early season and I always felt I caught him coming back in to bed but hard to say.
Will let you know what I find. Looks like I have a fellow Beast member nearby that swamp too!
