But those deer are genetically adapt to those temps year in and year out for centuries. No different than deer being smaller bodied in other states.
I have reserves about how well the deer herd will handle this, maybe I am wrong. I know when temps got down this far we used to find frozen dead birds in a number of the new apt buidlngs we worked in. Mourning doves were more than half total numbers, no sure why exactly.
