Check this LW ad out...
We recently moved and I came across one of the first hunting magazines I ever bought. It was an issue of Petersons Bowhunting from 1990! I was thumbing through and came across this LW ad. I kind of miss bowhunting the way it was back then! They have ads in this magazine of new bows costing $200
Anyways, figured you guys might enjoy.

Re: Classic!!
Just replied to another thread on here about those old LWs.....so light...that cinch rope style was definitely different.
Hunting then was way better- its a commercialized set of standards and gimmicks now... Keeping up the Lakowskis

Nice, I would like to see how that rope work, I remember sending in money to get catalogs was like waiting for Xmas. I think the 2 greatest inventions were the lone wolf hang on and the whisker biscuit arrow rest, those 2 products prob help folks kill allot more deer.

It was definitely simpler. My first bow had the classic short aluminum arrows and an overdraw. I worked a summer at Hardees when I was 16 so I could buy my first "used" bow. An old Hoyt Super Slam Supreme!! Bowhunting now just isn't the same.

Is it pretty light compared to our Assaults and Alpha's? I bet it is.

Ah the good old days.
You can fool some of the bucks, all of the time, and fool all of the bucks, some of the time, however you certainly can't fool all of the bucks, all of the time.

Ha! My dad bought me one of those stands when I was 12 and I'm still using it today (33 now). Still rock solid after 20 years in the woods!

My dad had one. He bought me a Bear Whitetail II. It was as big as I was at age 12. Unfortunately that bow wrecked me for bow huting. I couldn't shoot it to save my life. Wounded a deer with it and quit bow hunting for 20 years because of that.

Awesome! I too remember those days because that is when I really got the bug and started getting interested in bow hunting. The first bow i bought myself was a Browning in the early 90's. Killed my first deer with that bow!
