Choices.....

Unread postby Zap » Sun Dec 08, 2013 5:11 am

My buddy farms some of the public land, talked to him this morning and he told me they had a problem while transporting cut corn from a back field a few days ago and spilled about five hundred pounds of it....

Its 10° today.

That's about $60.00 worth of bait. ;) If I were you I'd go out and freeze. If I were me and I am, I'd stay home.

Pile is still there, about 400 pounds, he spilled it a few days before turkey day.

New area to me, today was the first Saturday of firearms season....gun area.
Needless to say nothing showed, I sat about 80 away on what looked to me to be the best buck approach route. Hunting with the xbow.
Some good and fresh rubs right near the pile.

Cut corn, milo and beans in the area, with a lot of spoils on the ground.
Smaller fields with hedgerows about twenty yards wide between....

Looks like a good area. will have to keep an eye on it.

Only saw one orange vest in the distance, fellow that was at the parking lot said there were a lot of hunters this morning.

If I had two weeks I could hunt each one once...two hunts per day.
