Blood Tracker

Unread postby Basinboy » Thu Dec 05, 2013 1:34 am

Look what was under my tree this morning!
I have wanted one of these for quite sometime now. There are only a handful of breeders in the US with German bloodlines from proven tracking parents.
Blood tracking Wirehair Dachshund :notworthy:
Drove 4 1/2 hours yesterday to go pick her up in Houston Tx. Can't wait to get one down to start her on fresh blood :)

Cool stuff man! My wife and our yellow lab pup just passed the United Blood Tracker 1 test over the weekend. She read John Jeanneney's book "Tracking Dogs For Finding Wounded Deer'' and spent a lot of time on the UBT web site. The web site is unitedbloodtrackers.org. Keep us posted!

I want to get that book to read. I hear its the Bible on training a blood tracker. I am leaving to go on a hunting trip in the morning and hope I can get some fresh blood to start training her. ;)

I'm reason they call it hunting and not shooting.
