Hello Everyone,
A good friend has been talking about Beast Mode for some time, but I haven't checked the site out till today. I have been looking around and decided to post a few questions. This season has been tough on me in Western PA. The majority of my long time spots have been over run with new hunters. I need to change my tactics. Beast Mode seems to fit what I need to do.
I have attached an aerial image, I can't figure out how to attach it to the post other than image shack... If anyone can post it please do so and tell me how you did! haha
Anyway.
The Farm is some nasty swamp. Our typical wind this season was NW NNW.
I have marked the OTHER hunters stands with a RED DOT
I have marked the ambush site I chose when I did go deep into the swamp with a YELLOW DOT
I only saw doe that evening and I marked their travel with a RED LINE
Beds I have found in the past are the BLUE DOTS.
My access point is the RED X
I could access from the south, but it is extremely thick and I have always avoided it to not spook deer.
Any tips on starting points for my winter scouting? I also plan to hunt late season here. I should note the land is flat... VERY flat. Please draw on the map if you'd like.
Thanks

Re: New Guy here. 1st post with image and questions!
Sorry, can't mark map from laptop. But I am thinking:
The lone tree ESE of your yellow dot.
and where the trees are close to the inside corners of the creek to your SE and NW...
Should be parallel trail just to right of yellow dot running NW/SE and I would think an even better one running same direction on south side of water, just off both furthest points of creek that are pointing SW...
That's what I would check anyways. Perhaps someone with more experience could weigh in.
Also you could look up 'riverbottom' threads. I know there were a couple a month or so ago...
P.S> welcome to the beast!!!

I posted your image by right clicking on it and choosing "copy image url" from the pop up menu, I then pasted it here, highlighted it, and clicked on the image icon.

I drew a yellow line where I think you should scout... Thats where your going to find the majority of the mature buck beds (along that line) I put blue dots ( sorry, did not notice your two blue dots till almost done ) where there is probably buck beds.

Dan,
Why the blue dot almost dead center of the picture, a little southeast of the main section of river? What is there that caught your attention?

A point of timber/ or brush along the transition line.
