My hunting groups tally as of 11-18-13...
Hopefully I can add mine to the mix before the seasons over.
I've HAD two close encounters w/ mature Bucks and also a Bear - no connection YET!
Anyways...
1st score; an old buddy I helped setup years back in the bottle neck. This is his second good deer out of this stand along w/ some smaller deer over the last 3-years.
199lb 8-pointer, measures in the 115-120" range, likely a 3.5 yr old deer...
My best friends 136lb Doe along side his younger brothers 100 pounder making this a real nice double!
Our meat pole from the big woods. Both the bucks shown hear are a respected size for a 3.5 year old making NH a not so great Trophy region.
I should have one on the pole that was 189lb and a wide 9-pointer w/ 20" width but short tines (I pushed it to the guy on the ridge when my rifle was sitting on my shoulder via gun sling - OUCH! )
The little one is a BB and the 9-pointer weighed in @ 182lb (3.5 year old)
The oldest brother tagged the Northwood's buck, happens to be the largest taken out of our camp to date...!

Congrats Ed, that is a great showing for the bigwoods. Our group went 2 for 10 this year and both bucks were youngins.

Looks like your group is doing very well.
You can fool some of the bucks, all of the time, and fool all of the bucks, some of the time, however you certainly can't fool all of the bucks, all of the time.

Looks like a good year Ed. To bad about the one you pushed to the other guy.
You cannot invade mainland America. There would be a rifle behind every blade of grass.

I own the camp w/ the three brothers.
We mostly hunt upland birds (as the deer population is around 7-9 deer/sq mi.) but when the snow hits our odds go up due to tracking.
Our camp is @ 1450' elevation and the Mtn in the back goes over 2800'!
It is rough hill country in the CT River Valley area...

Rifle is over 12/8, archery is Dec 15th.
This is one of the best Bear regions in NH but that ends Friday
I keep telling Schultzy, Magic, Tad and you to come on over for a Road Trip, it's just a couple thousand miles

Some day my friend...some day. We invited you this year.....still time for muzzleloader season. I need to get my kidney back in shape before I start pulling multiple mile days. Saturday is approaching fast.

Sounds like to rough of terrain even for my scooter. Plus when the snow hits that ends my season.
