When to leave does?

Unread postby Chasman » Sat Nov 02, 2013 2:00 pm

I seen 9 does today and one 6 pt chasing a single doe. I like the spot but I just don't see a lot of buck sign. Some rubs, not many scraps. It is public that gets hunted hard. I have not seen signs of hunters either. I just have a hard time leaving deer to find deer. Cover is very thick and has some very good mature buck haunts. There was a brute last year, old rubs are huge. Should I stay or go?

Without knowing anything else about the area I would say stay put, or at least nearby if you have that much doe activity this time of year...

Thanks guys. I was leaning to going back. I may do a all day deal. I left today at 12pm. Seen the last 2 does at 11:15 am. The downfall is the long walk, it will have to be a good one for to let an arrow fly.
