Hope they catch the the guy and prosecute. I doubt anything will come of it, but with the internet hopefully the word gets out.

I guess there are some things I will never understand and this is one.

Re: Hunter has deer head stolen off his trophy deer.
I was actually reading through some old Marc Anthony Outdoors posts yesterday about his "Outline of the entire process" from 2011. In his section about public land, he mentions that he removes the tongue and sticks a broadhead deep into the carcass where it will be inconspicuous. In a case like this, maybe in the throat? t seems awfully crude, but if it works...
I've never dealt with taxidermy before, would something like removing the tongue be an issue? If the police were notifying local taxidermists, it would give them something else to look for.
Do any of you ever do anything similar?

Re: Hunter has deer head stolen off his trophy deer.
I talked to a hunting buddy lastnight about this and he told me that it happened to him about ten years ago. He said every since then he carries trail cameras with him and when he has to leave a deer and go get help the camera or cameras are focused on the deer!!!! And now days cameras are small enough i think i will start this process also!!

Enough to make you sick. You cannot replace something like that.
Just terrible.
I am always super OCD about where I leave my deer or put my horns after butchering, afraid of thieves or critters carrying them off...
I really hope this guy gets his head back.

Ridiculous! As much as I love this country and life it's self it's things like this that make me lose all hope for the human race. Sickening
Find his shed, find his bed, use your head to make him dead.
