Anyone on here ever make your own? I was thinking of making my own using jute cord and camo fabric strips.
Another question.... is there anyway to get rid of the "oily" smell that's in camo burlap material?
I was hoping to use the suit while coyote hunting and the odor on new material is very loud!
THANKS for your tips and advice!

Re: Ghillie Suit
I have made my own for hunting in the past. I used a pair of old standard issue BDUs (battle dress uniform) the US military used to wear, some tattered burlap, epoxy, and small zip ties is about all you need. Wish I had a pic. Im sure you can find links on google on how to make one.

Re: Ghillie Suit
Thanks Crazinamatese
I took a ACU jacket and made a net on the back and arms. Glued it down with E6000 epoxy.
I bought some jute twine , but man that's gonna take forever!! I am wanting to mix twine and fabric
to help break up the appearance and allow me to add some actual vegetation in the field to match my surroundings.
I like the small zip ties idea too. If you find pictures, please post em up
Thanks again

I seen that! I didn't know if that was real or not! Next time the rodeo comes to town, that ghillie suit would come in handy!
