Got a 150 class buck on trail camera, now what?
I just checked my camera (located 5 yds inside a field edge near standing corn and road I drive in an)and this is the first I have seen this buck, and I only have one pic of him in broad daylight, 9:00 a.m. on Sept. 22. I do not know where he beds, but the direction he was headed was towards the point coming off of a ridge. Kinda surprised to see a buck in daylight that late in the day. This was a crazy few days for this camera...on the SD card I had rabbits, coons, squirrels, turkeys, a blue jay, two bear, does, bucks, and something black that I couldn't make out. Pretty cool. But anywho, (like Dan says) not sure how to get after this buck. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Yep, man law violation. No need to post the topo or anything giving away the location, but we all need a pic of this guy.

9:00 in the morning seems aweful late in the morning for a mature buck to be still up wondering around... I wonder if someone or something kicked him up.
you can post a topo of where it is, just block out any rd names or coordinates if your worried about someone knowing where it is.... It's a lot easier for Dan & others to pick out bedding areas with topo's & aerials.

Add an aerial in addition to the tope if you're a flat land hunter. Wind direction and camera location marked on both.

You didn't tell me about this!
It's all good I will have to see a pic from you sometime though.
Dan and others will help out a lot. I'm wondering if he came from that saddle you hunted last fall and saw a good one.

I may have been a little overzealous on the size, probably breaking another man-law, but hey, I didn't expect to see a nice buck like that so soon after putting my camera out. Like any of you, I am stoked about having a nice one to go after. He is definitely in the 140's, so I wasn't far off.

This is something I learned from this site last season. I took all my day time buck pictures from last year and checked the winds with those dates. If I found a stand that had a buck in day time hours with the correct wind I needed I made a note of it. For all of my October buck pictures I plan on doing the same thing. If I have a stand that consistently has daytime buck pictures with wind I need, that will be in stand I will be hunting when that wind comes back around.

Yes I did check this, and he was definitely moving with the wind in his face...it is the only daytime pic of him I have...only pic I have period actually. I hadn't had that camera out there long, in fact, I put it out there the day before. I had to pull that camera yesterday because the batteries were dead unexpectedly and I didn't have any to switch out. When it rains I am going to put a cam right back in that spot. He came across an access road, from a large standing corn field into the some pines where I had my cam.
