How Would YOU Enter/Exit My Stand?
Here are three views of the property.
The first one shows a yellow circle around the stand set I placed on Saturday. The second picture shows the Deer highways - a little messy, but gives you some perspective when thinking how to access. The third pic is a closeup of the treestand.
The fields are all corn this year, and assume you can park anywhere along the road.
My thoughts - what if I take my time and sneak straight from road through the corn taking steps when the wind makes the leaves russle? What if it's dead flat calm, like early morning?
Need your help guys, I'm torn.

Re: How Would YOU Enter/Exit My Stand?
Assuming you only have access via the road, I don't see where you are going to have much of an option. The only fear being a food source is spooking deer on the way in. If there is an alternative access to you from the East, I would strongly consider it. If it were me personally, with all surrounding property being a food source I would only hunt that stand in the evenings and be in there early in the after noon with a South East wind (not knowing where your bedding is located). There you go my friend for what it is worth.

Re: How Would YOU Enter/Exit My Stand?
Good input.
Here is a better perspective. There are 4 corn fields within the property. . . A total of 32 acres. The two main fields consist of 31 acres and there are 2 little .5 acre corn fields. The rest of the property is bedding area of thick poplars, dogwood, marsh grass and cattails. The further south on the property you go is hardwoods and the Fox River, however, I don't plan on going back that far except during the gun season - I'll send someone back there.
I can park anywhere along the road and a couple spots just off the road but on the NE corner of the property, which is a of a trek.
The wind around here is primarily out of the W, NW.

Re: How Would YOU Enter/Exit My Stand?
Something else to consider is that when the corn is cut, come early November, their travel routes may shift from here. I'm thinking they may stick closer to the East side of the field where the bedding area buts up. That's why I set that stand over there, however, it's a solid 40 yard shot just to the very edge of the field from that tree, so I'd have to hope they were in the cover or on the edge of the field... There weren't too many tree options. I will place another stand or two along the southern woodline/edge of property, that's a sweet spot.
You're right, though, walking through the corn from the road heading N to S may spook them out of the cover of the corn... I'm thinking enter on the NW corner and walk a few corn rows in from the treeline to avoid walking on their highway, which is the outside edge between the treeline and the first row of corn. Take it slow and march in. I did not locate beds in this immediate area, however, there may be beds in that little patch of tall grass immediately behind my stand.
You know, maybe I'll manufacture a zip line from the roadside treeline over the corn to my stand... It IS a sturdy oak.

LOL....I can't tell you how many times I have said something to my buddy when we are trecking up this giant stinking hill where we hunt that we need a zip line or a rope bridge...hehehehehe. Great Deer hunting minds think alike.

Re: How Would YOU Enter/Exit My Stand?
For whatever my first try at a reply didn't show, so here's another attempt.
During standing corn I'd go about 6-10 rows in and selectively remove enough stalks of corn so as to not make the farmer mad and also give me a quiet approach to the stand so I didn't have to worry about quiet/non windy days. Once the corn is out I'd likely just walk across the cut corn as fast as possible, doesn't look like its' that far of a walk and that way you'd put out less scent than walking a longer loop.

Excellent feedback. So that's the plan for now!

Re: How Would YOU Enter/Exit My Stand?
I like the idea of removing stalks for a quiet approach. I am however a little boggled at the idea of sitting that far down the way when you know the bedding is to the north. IMO you might sell yourself short by not getting closer. Have you hunted the property before? Do they travel down that hedge row during daylight? I have personally found that alot of the trails I see that move along the edges of fields are used after hours per trail cam pics and personal experience. I would worry less about scaring deer out of the corn on your way in because IMO they will not be hanging out there during the day. I guess a better idea of your hunting tactics would give me a better idea of how to give quality advice. Early season? Rut? How often do you want to sit it? Any info about previous travel patterns?

Im having a hard time figuring out why your hunting out in the fields rather than the other end of the property where they would be more prone to move in daylight?

I was also curious to your reasoning behind this?

Me too. You may know more than us since you have been there but at face value the second smaller circle on your second pic seems the better choice.

Re: How Would YOU Enter/Exit My Stand?
I'd set a stand in the southern strip on your map. Maybe you have one there.
That being said, I'd cross the road right in front of that white driveway, and walk through the corn to get to the stand. As far as clearing the farmers corn to make a path, I wouldn't do that unless you really know he won't mind.

A buck will see you three times, and hear you twice, but he's only gonna smell you once.

Re: How Would YOU Enter/Exit My Stand?
This will be my first time hunting the property and I plan on sitting this stand early season. The corn will be cut come November and I'll have to relocate, however, after all the great feedback, I'm starting question the stand placement all together.
So Dan, you are suggesting sitting closer to the bedding area where they are more prone to moving under the cover in the daylight? So maybe the other stand I have set in the middle of the property (East side of the fields) is the place to be?
To the south is awesome and could perhaps be a good bet. Tomorrow I'll post more pics of the land and show you the southern and Easter end. Some close ups will help.
THANKS TO ALL OF YOUR REPLIES!! You're helping me get on a big one I hope.
